Diarrhea is generally a sign that your body can’t keep up with the intake and that you need to cut back a bit.Additionally, it is important to realize that if you are taking large doses of vitamin C, you shouldn’t stop suddenly. Some people have developed scurvy like symptoms from doing this, so you should slowly back off vitamin C to avoid this. Interestingly enough, the founder of modern day vitamin C was taking 10,000 to 18,000 mg of vitamin C on a regular basis before his death at the age of 93.
